We are Dan & Earlene Ligon (daughter Andrea). We have been missionaries with the Assemblies of God since 1977, when we went to Liberia, West Africa, ministering there for three years until a civil war broke out.
We went to Nigeria, West Africa and worked in the Northern Nigeria Bible School for 8 years. It was a wonderful time, learning how to work with our African brethren.
We felt God calling us to Niger; and in 1991, God opened the door for us to enter Niger. We were the first Assemblies of God missionaries from the U.S. We started the work on our front porch. God has been with us and our family, and we thank God for his blessings.
We have 5 children. Daniel is working as a music teacher at the American Embassy school in the city of Kinshasa, Congo. David, who works as an auto mechanic and his wife Cora live in Lakeland, Florida with their two children. John Mark & Maya. Amie & Gyula are living in Springfield, MO, with their son Alek and new member Trinitie. Tim and Eniko live in Evanston, Wyoming with they daughter Emmaand new member Joshua, where they are pastoring Abundant Life Assembly.
